Mr. Spratt received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1981. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1985 from University of LaVerne. Prior to joining Kennedy & Souza, Mr. Spratt worked at a large insurance defense firm, practicing professional liability, personal injury, construction injury and landlord-tenant habitability defense. Previously, Mr. Spratt worked as staff counsel for AIG Insurance Company, defending subcontractors throughout California.
Mr. Spratt has extensive experience in representing general contractors, home owners, developers, and homeowner associations in construction defect disputes and associated real property litigation. Currently, he has concentrated his area of practice in insurance defense for personal injury matters. Mr. Spratt is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is licensed to practice before California State Courts, California Federal Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Spratt has been active in the Jane Goodall, Roots and Shoots Youth Program, and the Santa Monica Mountains Restoration Trust, in Los Angeles.
